Abstract
The Impact of COVID-19 on International Education
As a former president of International Christian University (ICU) in Tokyo and a pioneer of liberal arts and international education in Japan, Junko Hibiya has constantly encouraged students to gain a broad background in diverse areas, to integrate knowledge from across the disciplines, and to respond to the challenges of the world with a goal of nurturing responsible global citizens. In her presentation, she will discuss how COVID has changed how we learn and what will happen in the future.

Junko Hibiya
International Christian University, Japan
Junko Hibiya is Professor Emerita of International Christian University (ICU). She became Vice President for Academic Affairs in 2008 and President in 2012 at the university. She is a member of the Central Council for Education, and a member of the Science Council of Japan. Prior to her tenure at ICU, she was on the faculty of Keio University for fifteen years after receiving her Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1988.
