Speaker Announcement: Junko Hibiya, President, International Christian University, Japan

Junko Hibiya, President, International Christian University, Japan, is the second keynote speaker to be announced for The 14th Asian Conference on Education (ACE2022), which will be held on-site and online, November 28–December 2, 2022.

The ACE2022 Organising Committee is currently calling for papers to be presented at the event. Submit your abstracts by September 4, 2022, to participate.

Biography

Junko Hibiya
International Christian University, Japan

Junko Hibiya, International Christian University, JapanDr Hibiya obtained her PhD in Linguistics at the University of Pennsylvania in the United States.

Before being appointed as the President of International Christian University (ICU) in 2012, she was the Vice President of Academic Affairs and a Professor at ICU. She has also worked as a Visiting Associate Professor at Dartmouth College in the United States and as an Assistant Professor at the International Center in Keio University.

She is a member of the Central Council for Education under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), an Advisory Council member of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, as well as an associate member of the Science Council of Japan (specialising in Linguistics and Literature).

Her academic specialty is Sociolinguistics.
